Alicia Pouw Awarded Wiesnet Medal at 2026 Joint Eastern-Western Snow Conference

Alicia Pouw, ReSEC PhD candidate, was awarded the 2026 Wiesnet Medal at the Joint Eastern-Western Snow Conference, held in Denver, Colorado, from May 12–15, 2026.

Alicia received the award for her presentation, “Mapping Snow-Ice Fraction on Subarctic Lakes Using Predictive Modelling.” The conference brought together researchers and industry professionals from both the Eastern Snow Conference and the Western Snow Conference for a joint annual meeting.

The Wiesnet Medal is awarded annually to the student presenting the best paper at the conference, recognizing excellence in snow and cryospheric research. Congratulations, Alicia!
