Cabin Radio Features Délı̨nę’s Community-Built Mobile Research Lab
A recent Cabin Radio article highlights the new ReSEC mobile research laboratory developed in Délı̨nę through a collaboration between the community and our research group. The innovative facility, funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), was designed and built in the community to support environmental monitoring on Great Bear Lake and strengthen local research capacity.
The article emphasizes how the lab combines scientific innovation with community involvement, creating a unique northern research platform that supports climate change monitoring, training opportunities, and local stewardship. By enabling safer and more efficient field research, the mobile lab will help advance understanding of changing lake ice, water quality, and environmental conditions across the Sahtu region.
