ReSEC group students awarded NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarships

Jane Ye current ReSEC/Ecohydrology Research Group undergraduate student and Arash Rafat recently joined ReSEC lab have been awarded NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarships for their upcoming Masters research. Jane will complete her Masters in the Ecohydrology Research Group and will focus on the effects of freeze-thaw cycles and water table fluctuations on LNAPL biodegradation rates and pathways. Arash will be starting his Masters in the ReSEC lab in September with the aim to better understand and characterize how climate change is impacting lake ice properties, phenology, and evolution in the North Slave Region of the Northwest Territories.
